Environmental health and waste reduction are two topics that I have been active on on a professional and personal level.

In 2017, I co-founded the French not-for-profit “Bas les Pailles” which led to the ban of plastic straws and other single-use plastics in January 2020. For this project, I have been selected to join the C40 and City of Paris #WomenforClimate program in 2018-2019.

I was a Fondation de France Environmental Health grantee 2018 and conducted postdoctoral research at EHESS Paris on Maya women’s environmental movements in Chiapas, Mexico between 2019 and 2021.
